In order to implement the decision and deployment of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China on "accelerating the construction of a strong country in education, science and technology, and talents", as well as the requirements of the "14th Five-Year Plan" to "improve the level of education opening up to the outside world and optimize the global layout of education opening up to the outside world", the "Work Together to Build Dreams for International Education" international education industry exchange meeting hosted by the HIREP International Exchange and Development Center was held at the Niccolo Hotel in Changsha.
With "innovation-driven, coordinated development" as its main theme, this event attracted scholars from internationally renowned universities such as the University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, as well as representatives from more than 100 educational institutions across the country to jointly discuss the development trends of international education and promote industry resource integration and innovative development.
Policy guidance: Educational openness promotes high-quality development
At present, my country is accelerating the construction of a new development pattern of "dual circulation". As an important part of the national strategy, the opening up of education has become a key tool to promote the deep integration of talent chain, innovation chain and industrial chain. In the Outline of the Plan for Building a Powerful Nation through Education issued by the State Council, the strategic goal of "improving the strategic strategy of opening up education to the outside world and building an important education center with global influence" is clearly put forward.
In this context, the HIREP International Exchange and Development Center actively responded to the policy call by building an international education industry exchange platform to promote the effective connection between educational institutions, universities and corporate resources, and provide practical samples for the implementation of the "Belt and Road" education action.
Technology empowerment: AI+ platform ecology promotes industry upgrading
At the meeting, the HIREP International Exchange and Development Center officially released the "HIREP Mini Program 1.0". Relying on artificial intelligence and big data technologies, the mini program integrates nearly 100 top universities, more than 3,000 industry experts and corporate resources around the world, covering the entire chain of services including curriculum development, academic research, and career development.
Cheng Jiasheng, founder and CEO of HIREP, said: "The construction of the platform is highly consistent with the national strategic goal of 'digital education'. In the future, HIREP will focus on promoting AI intelligent tools to improve the efficiency of information interaction and build an open, collaborative and win-win global education ecosystem for practitioners."
Representatives from many institutions at the scene believed that the HIREP mini program would significantly optimize the industry service model and planned to cooperate in areas such as "cross-border scientific research projects."
Academic collaboration: Hong Kong scholars discuss international talent cultivation
Professor Zhang from the University of Hong Kong proposed a talent training model that "gives equal emphasis to cross-cultural capabilities and innovative practices", emphasizing the importance of collaborative education between Hong Kong universities and mainland institutions.
Professor Rao from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology focused on the "dual carbon" goals and discussed the ESG concept and the path of international business education;
Professor Jiang from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University demonstrated the application cases of AIoT technology in educational scenarios, providing technical references for the "new education infrastructure".
Experts attending the meeting unanimously agreed that this exchange activity is an important practice to deepen mainland-international educational cooperation and serve national strategies.
Results achieved: Multiple parties signed contracts to promote industry resource sharing
Under the guidance of the Ministry of Education's policy of "encouraging social forces to participate in education services", this exchange meeting has led to a number of substantive cooperation. Institutions such as Correspondence Education have reached a strategic agreement with HIREP to jointly improve the "International Education Service Standardization System".
Yuan Quan, director of HIREP's Overseas Study Channel Center, said: "In the future, we will establish a long-term cooperation mechanism and hold regional exchange meetings regularly to ensure the efficient implementation of cooperation projects."
Outlook: Serving national strategies and building a new open pattern
This exchange meeting provided a far-reaching blueprint and a practical action roadmap for building a new strategy, new pattern and new policy for opening up high-level education to the outside world.
Next, HIREP will continue to uphold the mission of "connecting the world", work with global partners to promote educational innovation, and help cultivate compound talents with an international perspective.
In the new journey of building a modern socialist country in an all-round way, HIREP will continue to pool industry wisdom and inject strong momentum into cultivating high-quality talents with global competitiveness and serving national strategic needs.
